I wasn't sure which category to post this in. None of them seem quite right.
This was a page from a zine I was working on in high school. The girl in the left-hand corner is one of my recurring characters -- she shows up in a number of my original short stories. She's holding my trusty TI-89 graphing calculator, which was one of my prized posessions in high school. (I was such a geek!) Sorry about the frayed corners -- I had this hanging on a bulletin board for a few years as an undergrad. Hmm. It's a shame I never finished that zine. I made some fun stuff for it. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. You know...it's still not to late to turn that 'zine into something even if only for your own amusement. I think we all had those High School dreams before we understood where the adults before us came from. I think it's best not to forget that youthful vitality even if we must compromise some. As a teacher, I doubt you ever will end up that way and I bet your students will appreciate you for it.
